On Saturday October 09, 2021, members of HARESSO visited Al Mustafa Academy’s campus located at 7814 83 St NW, Edmonton, AB. Al Mustafa Academy is a fully accredited private school registered in 2008 as a nonprofit organization where students from KG-Grade 12 are taught the Alberta Education curriculum along with Hifz, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and ESL. Since many children from our community attend this magnificent school, it was agreed to strengthen HARESSO’s working partnership with the school.
In keeping with our mandate of promoting education as well as our endeavor in combating COVID-19, members of HARESSO met with the administrative staff Al Mustafa Academy led by Mr. Syed Hasan, to explore how we can give a helping hand. The many ways of combating this deadly disease was discussed as well as information sharing between both sides as to how to best inform the community.
At the conclusion of our meeting, members of HARESSO participated in a disinfecting campaign of the school. Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas such as whiteboards, door handles, doors, desks and other areas.
